Denise K. George Library Media Specialist

I started in the Library at Charleston in 2015.  This was my first time working as a librarian and never realized that I could love a job this much!!  Previously, I served as the Instructional Coach at Valley View Elementary and a classroom teacher in Hamilton County.  In my years at Charleston, I have completed a Masters Program at MTSU, participated in the PEF ~ STEM Fellowship, and written grants to add to our project-based hands-on instruction.  I find that students at all levels love and learn best through hands-on learning and this has made our library an exciting place for students to visit each week!  

 

I have lived in Bradley County for the majority of my life attending both city and county schools.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UTC.  I an married with 4 boys, 3 of them are grown and moved out of the house.  

 

My family loves supporting Charleston students not just at school, but also at many after school events.
