Family Engagement/Parent Involvement
The Family Engagement Program of Charleston Elementary School is designed to promote
positive school and community relationships and to enrich the existing school program. A
Family Engagement Meeting will be held at the beginning of each year. CESA will assist you in
understanding our program and methods of working with the students. There are guidelines that
have been developed and you must agree to work within those guidelines in order to be a
volunteer. Here are a few ways you can be involved with your child’s education either at home
or at school: making copies, laminating, changing bulletin boards, reading to children, AR
testing, art lessons, assisting with Fall Festival or Field Day, etc. Please call the office for more
