Students are expected to talk quietly, remain in their seats, and keep their eating area clean.
Good manners will be promoted for the safety and eating pleasure of all Charleston students.
The following is a list of special information regarding the cafeteria and sales of food. Online
accounts through School Cafe can be set up by the parents and this allows payments, reminders
of low accounts, and checking on the balance at any time.
● Each student has a cafeteria account in which parents may deposit money to cover the
cost of meals as needed. Students may also purchase other items that are not included in
the price of a regular lunch (ice cream, chips, etc.).
● Students may purchase meals on a daily basis with cash if the parent so chooses. Please
take any money to the cafeteria in the morning before the bell rings.
● The cost of breakfast is $1.50, lunch is $2.50 and a visitor’s lunch is a minimum of $4.00.
● Our school qualified for CEP again this year which means breakfast and lunch is
provided for free for the 2024-2025 school year
● Soft drinks, fast foods, and cupcakes are not permitted in the cafeteria. Please
refrain from bringing these items.
● If you wish to celebrate your child’s birthday with classmates, the cafeteria offers
the following options: Class Cookies for $10.00 or Class Ice Creams or Class Fruit
Cups for $15.00. Please contact the Cafeteria Manager at least two days in advance.
Due to food allergies, dietary restrictions, and increased demand on instructional time,
NO outside food will be allowed in the classroom except for scheduled Christmas and
Valentines Parties.
● Please continue to fill out the free and reduced forms as this is how we qualify for the
CEP program.
