Meet Mrs. Walker
Hi! My name is Erica Walker and I am honored to be your child’s teacher this school year. This will be my 13th year teaching. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and a Bridge class for students who needed an alternative classroom setting. By far, 4th grade has been my favorite.
I am married and we have a big blended family that includes 4 teenagers and 1 dog. Needless to say, I spend a lot of money on groceries! I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, relaxing in nature, and Zumba.
My future plans include going back to school to finish the School Leadership program, after which I will be licensed as a school administrator. I’ve always dreamed of starting a small school.
This year, your child will be encouraged to be independent, accountable for his/her learning, and expected to dream big.
We will read different genres of literature, learn fractions and geometry, research historical figures, learn about how our nation started, research animals and their different habitats, and so much more!
It truly takes a village to raise a child and along with your help and the support of our wonderful administration and faculty at CESA, your child will be well equipped to succeed at Charleston, in middle school, throughout high school, and beyond into adulthood.
Personal Motto: Every child can learn something…
